Dr. Frand reported that he grew 1in and gained 1 1/2lbs, no tests needed. Granted he is still on the little side but he is growing. He made me on the low end of the physical growth scale but this baby is on the high end of mental growth. Normal is 4 to 6 words. Gracin has more like twelve: mama, dad, ball (all things round), dog (all animals and other babies), ow,whos or whise (what's that/this?), dat (want that),wo, wow, oh (very drawn out, usually in response to seeing candy or cookie), uh-o, No (said with a nasal "n"), Bama (Gama, my mom), Nana (Cody's mom), maba (my ball), and nino (pronounced with both long "i" and long "e" sound, we think for "I Know"). He also will point to his head when he sees a hat, points to his mouth when thirsty, his tummy when hungry, thinks tongues and noses are hilarious, will tickle his ear and neck with blankie. What a smarty pants.
As per usual he took the shots like a champ. He let out one good scream, shed two tears and then was presented with a sucker and all pain was forgotten. :) He even felt like showing off his new squeaky shoes. The nurses and Doctor were very impressed.
