Here (above) is Gracin after playing in the Finger paint pudding. Yummy!
Gracin says "Now what do I do? And why is everyone singing? Can I just eat that?"
Season, our neighbor, made the yummiest cake. It may look small but it was 6 layers of Yellow Buttermilk cake and chocolate frosting. Pirate theme of coarse.
Mama and G hanging on the porch after washing off in the pool.
Gracin's first birthday was a blast. Everyone had a great time mucking in the pudding, splashing in the pools, eating cake and home made ice cream and opening presents. After word everyone took a nap! :) Partying is hard work!
Gracin's 12 month appointment went well. He took his shots like a real tough guy! Tattoos and all. Dr. Frand says he is on the small side. He only gained 1lb and only grew 3/4 of on inch. He said if he growth continues at its current pattern at his 15 month apt then he is going to run some tests. I don't know what that means but we are going to try everything we can so that we don't have to do tests. Dr. Frand recommended continuing to eat table food and stay away from prepared baby foods because they don't have the calories that regular food does. Also since he is becoming less interested in nursing, (which is fine by me, since he has 6 TEETH!) as long as he is drinking about 4 cups of whole organic cows milk he should be just peachy by his next appointment. He also hit all his mile stone, like a handful of words, crawling, waving, playing with toys and making noises to go along, eating, and some others that escape me at the moment.
Gracin is a new adventure every day. Just yesterday he figured out that his legs are good for more than just crawling and standing. As long as he is hanging on to the couch he will cruise along it! He still thinks if you grab his hands that he is to sit down, so we will get to walking when he is ready for that. I say "G, take you time, crawling is more fun." Plus he is easier to catch that way!
